How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is based on the number of unique monthly users who interact with your quizzes and receive size recommendations. Each plan includes a monthly quota of unique users. If your store goes beyond this quota, SmartSize activates a countdown timer instead of deactivating your quizzes.
What is a “unique monthly user”?
A unique monthly user is a single customer within one calendar month who interacts with a SmartSize quiz or receives an automatic size recommendation.
Example:
- A customer completes a quiz in January → counts as 1 unique user.
- That same customer returns in January and sees a size recommendation thanks to SmartSize Size Memory → does not count again.
- If the customer comes back in February and views a product with a size recommendation or does a new quiz → counts as 1 unique user for February.
What is SmartSize Size Memory?
SmartSize remembers each customer’s measurements after they complete a quiz.
- The first time, the customer answers a few questions and receives a recommendation.
- On future visits, SmartSize automatically reuses stored measurements to recommend sizes on other products—without requiring the customer to retake the quiz.
- This creates a seamless experience and ensures that customers do not need to take the quiz every time they visit your store.
What happens if I exceed my plan’s quota under a Free plan?
If your store exceeds the quota of unique monthly users:
- Quizzes remain active on your site.
- A mini countdown timer appears inside each quiz and the size memory button, making customers wait before seeing their results.
- To remove the countdown and keep recommendations instant, you’ll need to upgrade to the next plan tier.
What happens if I exceed my plan’s quota under a Paid plan?
If your store exceeds the quota of unique monthly users and you are under a Paid plan such as Stater, Growth, Pro, Enterprise or Titan:
- You will be warned by an email that you have exceeded your quota.
- You will be charged a small fee per additional unique monthly user. Note that you will have transparency at all times about the number of unique monthly users. You can find this information in the ‘Usage Summary’ section of your SmartSize dashboard.

Do quizzes stop working if I reach my limit?
No. SmartSize never fully deactivates your quizzes when quota is reached. Instead, the countdown timer ensures that your customers can still get size recommendations, while also helping you monitor when it’s time to upgrade.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes. You can switch plans at any time. If you downgrade, your quota will adjust to the lower plan’s unique user allowance starting the next billing cycle.
